“The more Russians leave, the fewer of them will end up in the war.” A shelter for Russians fleeing mobilization will open in Adjara

On November 1, the Quiet Place shelter will open, designed for Russians who are fleeing the mobilization. It will be located near Batumi in the autonomous region of Georgia - Adjara.

The house has several rooms, it is designed for 12-15 people. You can stay there for free with your family and animals for ten days. To get a place, you must fill out an application, indicating there the name, surname, contact details, marital status, as well as the presence of a veterinary passport and vaccinations if a person is traveling with an animal. In addition, there are two questions in the questionnaire that relate to the occupation of Georgian territories by Russia.

The Quiet Place project was founded by Russian environmental activist and journalist Natalya Zubkova. She left the country after the start of the war in Ukraine.

“The more Russians leave, the fewer of them will go to war. It is difficult to navigate in another country. You don't always have the money to rent a house quickly. Shelter is a place where you can not only live for free, but also get the necessary information, meet people,” says Zubkova.
