The creator of Wagner PMC, businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin, in a personal conversation with Vladimir Putin, expressed dissatisfaction with the way the country's military leadership is waging war in Ukraine. The Washington Post writes about this, citing anonymous US officials.

In early October, the newspaper reported that someone from Vladimir Putin's inner circle spoke about the inept actions of the Russian command and pointed out mistakes in the war in Ukraine. Now journalists have specified that it was Prigogine.

A U.S. intelligence report cited by the Washington Post says that Prigozhin told Vladimir Putin that the Defense Ministry relies too heavily on the Wagner PMC, but does not provide financial support or resources to carry out combat missions.

US intelligence also believes that a recent video of Wagner PMC fighters complaining about a lack of food is an attempt to put pressure on the Kremlin to get additional funding.

Yevgeny Prigozhin himself claims that he did not see this video, and denies that he personally spoke with Vladimir Putin.

“I personally have not communicated with Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin lately and I am not going to do this in the foreseeable future. I did not criticize the leadership of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation during the conflict in Ukraine. Therefore, I can’t comment on anything, ”Prigozhin said through his press service.

At the same time, the creator of the Russian PMC stressed that he had no right to criticize or praise the work of the Russian armed forces, since he was not a military expert.

The press secretary of the Russian president declined to comment on information about the communication between Prigozhin and Putin.
