From January to September 2022, almost 3.9 million passports were issued in Russia in Russia, TASS writes with reference to the data of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Over the past five years, this is the largest number of foreign passports, which has been issued in Russia for three quarters. For example, in 2019, about 3.7 million passports were issued for the same period, and only 2.2 and 2.9 million passports in 2020 and 2021 in 2020 and 2021.

In 2018, from January to September, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation issued more than 4.2 million foreign passports.
