According to the interlocutor of TASS in law enforcement agencies, searches are carried out in the case of extortion, which was initiated against the commercial director of Sobchak Kirill Sukhanov. Sobchak herself has no procedural status, he added.

Kirill Sukhanov was detained last night in Moscow. According to Varlamov News, the commercial director of "Olyn, Media" was detained in a restaurant during a meeting with a client who wanted to buy a dummy "Bloc to the Negative" (a ban on mentioning in a negative way). Sukhanov was suspected of fraud.

On Wednesday in Moscow, the former editor -in -chief of the glossy magazine Tatler Arian Romanovsky was detained. It is alleged that he is a suspect in the same case.

According to 112, Sukhanov and Romanovsky are suspected of extortion by the director on special instructions of the Rostec State Corporation Vasily Brovko, a former media manager, husband of TV presenter Tina Kandelaki.

Sobchak regarded Sukhanov’s detention as another pressure on journalism in the country. “There is nothing to get to the bottom of us, and it infuriates them,” she wrote in a telegram channel.

Ksenia Sobchak controls the project "Caution, Media", which includes a network of news telegram channels, a studio of podcasts, as well as social networks of the journalist herself. From childhood, a journalist has been familiar with Vladimir Putin and was a candidate for the presidency in the 2018 election.

In the summer, administrators of several telegram channels with tens and hundreds of thousands of stated subscribers were arrested in Moscow and St. Petersburg. They are accused of fraud and extortion, including for a promise to block negative news about advertisers.
