Lithuanian Foreign Minister: Sobchak is not in black lists, but she can get into them

Journalist Ksenia Sobchak is a citizen of Israel, so it may be in Lithuania, which she entered after leaving Russia, said Foreign Minister Lithuania Gabrielus Landsbergis, writes Delfi. He emphasized that at the moment Sobchak is not in black lists, but it may be there.

"She did not violate the order, fulfilled everything that is supposed to. I want to emphasize that this is not the first time when Israeli citizens from Russia and Belarus through Lithuania come to the EU. Such an order," the minister said.

According to Landsbergis, he has no data that Sobchak is still in Lithuania. Earlier, information about finding a journalist in Lithuania was confirmed by the head of the State Security Department Darus Yaunishkis. He stated that at the moment Sobchak "does not pose a threat to Lithuania."

The head of the Foreign Ministry Gabrielyus Landsbergis noted that the decision may be revised.

"Mrs. Sobchak is not included in the sanctions lists of the EU, the UK and the USA. There are still no prerequisites that would give a legal occasion to verify in court. This does not mean that they will not appear. If such prerequisites appear, a person may include after crossing the border, if we see that a person poses a threat to national security. They make decisions on the recommendation of DGB. Although it is. [Sobchak] positions itself as a representative of the opposition, we often see that some orientation coincides, but this is a subjective assessment.

Ksenia Sobchak left Russia on the night of October 27. At the same time, according to media reports, they were preparing to detain it at the airport in Moscow. Before leaving Sobchak, the commercial director of journalist Kirill Sukhanov and the former Tatler editor Aryan Romanovsky in the criminal case of extortion were detained. It is alleged that they demanded that they pay for removal from the “Stew Light” telegram channel about some information about the head of the Rostec Corporation Sergey Chemezovov. According to the prosecutor, Sukhanov was detained when receiving a “deposit” of 800 thousand. Sukhanov was arrested for two months.

Ksenia Sobchak wrote in her telegram channel that she did not understand what Sukhanov was arrested for. She called these events "nonsense" and the persecution of the media. Sobchak did not comment on information about her departure.

As part of this criminal case, in the house of Sobchak in an elite village in the suburbs was a search. It was conducted by investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Moscow, accompanied by operatives and special forces.
