Politician and blogger Maxim Katz was put on the federal wanted list. Information about this appeared on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, attention publication SOTA.

The politician was put on the wanted list “under an article of the Criminal Code,” according to the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. However, there is currently no information about any criminal case against Katz.

In July 2022, Maxim Katz was added to the register of individuals performing the functions of a “foreign agent.” The Ministry of Justice named Ukraine as the source of its financing.

Maxim Katz announced on his Twitter page that a criminal case was opened against him for “fakes” about the Russian army (Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code). He found out about this several months ago when he ordered a certificate of no criminal record. It is not reported what became the reason for the criminal case.
