A picketer with a poster in support of a girl fined due to an anti-war protest was detained in Moscow.

Mikhail Suslin was detained on Manezhnaya Square in Moscow, standing in a solitary picket with a poster “Margarita Vaseva is not guilty. Rehabilitation". He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

The young man was taken to the Kitai-Gorod police department.

Margarita Vaseva was fined 300,000 rubles on October 24 because of a September picket on Manezhnaya Square with a poster “I/We are Navalny” under the article on repeated violation of the rules of picketing (part 8 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). On October 25, she was also fined 50 thousand rubles under the article on discrediting the Russian army (part 1 of article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses) because of the anti-war action in which she took part, according to the security forces. In addition, because of the same action, she was assigned 40 hours of compulsory work under the article on violation of the established picketing rules (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses).

22:27 Suslin was released from the police department without a protocol. He himself informed OVD-Info about this.

• This is not the first time Mikhail Suslin has been detained due to pickets in the center of Moscow in 2022. Previously, a man was detained during pickets against the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on July 16 , 23 and 30 , with a poster for the friendship between Russia and Israel on August 6 , in support of the Jewish agency Sokhnut on August 13 , 28 and 29 , for the adoption of a law on domestic violence on August 11 and September 17 and October 1 , for the burial of Lenin's body on October 15 , and in support of convicted activist Yevgeny Kurakin on October 16 . Almost every time he was released without drawing up any protocol, except for the picket on August 13, for which he was fined 10,000 rubles.
