British Ministry of Defense: Wagner PMC reduced the standards, starting to accept prisoners with serious illnesses

The British Ministry of Defense believes that the founder of the PMC Vagner Evgeny Prigozhin admitted the allegations that this private military campaign has changed its standards and recruits Russian prisoners who have serious diseases, including HIP and hepatitis C. This is stated in the daily review of the Ministry of Defense of October 30.

So the department commented on the words of Prigozhin, who said on October 27 that he did not see “nothing immoral” that “soldiers, hepatitis C and HIV carriers will kill other soldiers, having no information whether they were carriers of any viruses.”

The role of the Wagner group has changed significantly after Russia's invasion of Ukraine. In previous conflicts, she supported relatively high set standards, and many of its participants were previously professional Russian military.

The British Ministry of Defense believes that this demonstrates that PMC prefers the quantity, not experience or quality.

The British ministry believes that some of the recruits from among the convicts will initially attract to the creation of a defensive line with a length of 200 kilometers in eastern Ukraine.
