Russian Ministry of Defense: one of the naval drones that attacked ships in Sevastopol was launched from a ship with Ukrainian grain

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian maritime drones that attacked ships of the Black Sea Fleet on October 29 moved along the security zone of the "grain corridor" created for the export of food from the ports of Ukraine before the attack.

The ministry said it found this out by examining Canadian-made navigation modules used in maritime drones. The examination showed that the drones were launched from the coast near Odessa, then they walked along the security zone of the "grain corridor", and at some point headed for the Russian ship base in Sevastopol.

The movement coordinates of one of the maritime drones, according to the ministry, indicate that it was launched in the sea area of ​​the “grain corridor” security zone in the Black Sea, which, according to experts, may indicate that it was launched from aboard one of the civilian vessels used for the export of agricultural products from the ports of Ukraine.

During the war, it is impossible to promptly check the information that even official representatives of the parties to the conflict disseminate.

• On October 29, ships of the Black Sea Fleet in Sevastopol were attacked by nine aerial drones and seven autonomous marine unmanned vehicles. Seven out of 16 drones were shot down. As a result of the attack, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, "insignificant damage" was received by the sea minesweeper Ivan Golubets. At the same time, GeoConfirmed analysts believe that three ships were damaged, including the frigate Admiral Makarov.
• After the attack on the port of Sevastopol, Russia suspended indefinitely its participation in the agreement on the export of grain and fertilizers from the ports of Ukraine, concluded in July with the mediation of the UN and Turkey. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said that Russia is "finally frustrating" the export agreement.
