Roskomnadzor (RKN) asked the administration of the educational Internet service Scratch to change the set of data collected during the registration of Russian users, leaving only two "gender options" - male and female. This was reported on the website of the department.
Earlier, information appeared that the Scratch educational service at the registration stage offers users various options for choosing a gender, including those that do not correspond to Russian traditional values.
In addition, Roskomnadzor notified the Scratch administration that it considers the collected data on the gender of Russian users to be redundant, since “in Russia, men and women have equal rights, including to receive education.”
Now, when registering on the Russian version of the Scratch website, the user is prompted with the question “What is your gender?” - and the answer options "Female", "Male", "Non-binary", "Other" (with the ability to specify your own option) and "I prefer not to speak."
