In Kursk, a search was conducted in the rented apartment of David Eichendorf, who served his sentence in the “anti-war case.” He himself told OVD-Info about this.
Investigative actions also took place in the apartment of Eichendorf’s friend, where he registered the latter. All equipment was confiscated from the young people. It is unknown what caused the security forces’ visit.
Eichendorff was detained in Tyumen on May 6. The security forces came to his home. According to the young man, violence was used against him there: they kicked him, and after he began to call for help, they sealed his mouth with tape. They then blindfolded him and took him for questioning, where they continued to hit him, insult him and threaten him, Eichendorf said.
In July, Eichendorf was sentenced to six months in a colony-settlement under articles about “fake news” about the Russian army (Part 1 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) and about the rehabilitation of Nazism (Part 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code). Already in August he was released - the period he spent in a pre-trial detention center was credited to his sentence.
The case was opened because, according to investigators, the young man posted publications on the Internet with “false” information about the actions of the Russian military. He also, as the prosecution alleged, tried to upload a photo of Adolf Hitler to the Immortal Regiment website.

included - After the start of the war with Ukraine, the number of cases under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism (Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code) increased sharply - presumably, the security forces use this article to put pressure on those who could potentially oppose the “special operation” in Ukraine and its “denazification.” According to the SOVA Information and Analytical Center, many cases under Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code are initiated unlawfully and should be qualified under other articles of the Criminal Code or resolved within the framework of civil rather than criminal proceedings.
