ASTRA: the camp for mobilized “refuseniks” in the Luhansk region was moved to another location

The camp in the basements of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, where 20 mobilized Russians were held because of their refusal to participate in the war in Ukraine without preparation, was moved to another place, ASTRA reports, citing sources in the Luhansk region, as well as relatives of the detained mobilized.

“Most of the illegally detained men were transferred by deceit, threats and torture to a new basement camp for refuseniks, the exact location of which is currently unknown. <...> Apparently, there are now several such basements for those who refused to fight, ”the publication says.

“We will shoot you and throw you into one pit, and tell your relatives that you are missing,”

- such words of commanders are quoted in a conversation with ASTRA by the relatives of several servicemen who are currently in one of the basements of the Lugansk region.

“So they are trying to return to the front lines the mobilized, who wrote a report about refusing to participate in the SVO. Realizing that the persuasion did not work, the commanders began to threaten with reprisals, the names and ranks of the commanders are not known, they did not introduce themselves. The other day, the prisoners got in touch and reported that they had not been fed for several days, ”the relatives of ASTRA said.

In addition, relatives of the detained mobilized people said that about 80 men in one of the basements were completely undressed in order to take away their phones. “They were beaten. The food is very bad. They force them to go to the front line like meat, but the guys refuse. Everyone wrote a refusal report,” they said.

In August, the Russian military, who had been imprisoned in the self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic because they refused to fight in Ukraine, turned to the Investigative Committee. The document indicated that about 140 military men were illegally detained in various places of the “LPR”.
