Ambulance drivers in Bashkortostan have achieved the receipt of insurance payments for the transportation of patients with coronavirus

The Judicial Collegium for Civil Cases of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Bashkortostan satisfied the requirements of ambulance drivers at the district hospital in the city of Birsk and decided to give them insurance payments for the transportation of patients with coronavirus. Drivers were refused to pay funds because in 2016 they were outsourced. The court’s decision was announced by the Union of Major Workers "Action".

Six years ago, officials transferred drivers in Birsk to outsources, since then the companies in which drivers work have never indexed salaries. In 2020, the president appointed insurance payments to health workers and ambulances for working with patients who have coronavirus. Drivers reported that their vacation pay is 8 thousand rubles, which are paid after rest or on the last day. Since January 2022, the leadership ceased to accrue an advance.

The Social Insurance Fund and the company “Drev Logistiks”, which provides the district hospital in Birsk for the transportation of patients, decided that drivers are not participating in the provision of ambulance and, therefore, have no rights to insurance payments. Together with the trade union, drivers made appeals to the governor and prosecutor, as well as went to court. He took their side.

In early July, the “action” trade union helped doctors from the Smolensk region achieve recalculation of salaries - for the restoration of their rights, paramedics arranged a strike. During the audit, it turned out that due to the lack of employees, the leadership of the hospital attracted paramedics to part-time work, including on weekends. At the same time, doctors did not pay stimulating and compensation payments. For several months, each of the employees was illegally withheld from 9 to 13 thousand rubles. On July 12, doctors were given out calculation sheets with recalculation of salaries.
