All other major wars are known to us from books and are related to the past, but not to history. I will explain the paradox: the story in this case does not represent something that was once a long time and with someone else. History is not a museum of artifacts of the past, it is a forge of the present and future. History is what is happening directly with us here and now and determines our future. Therefore, today's war is a key historical event, only it and nothing else fundamentally change our fate and way of life.
The Russian rebellion that is happening before our eyes should be the last in the history of Russia. However, the question inevitably arises, what will happen to us and the country further. What future looks for Russia to be desired, which is really achievable and at what time? The issue of the possible terms for the implementation of the project of the “beautiful Russia of the future” and the sequence of specific actions on the path of its achievement is no less important. After a practically inevitable disaster, we have to reinvent Russia again, and we must start doing this now. You need to be prepared for a very difficult and long journey.
The hope of a Russian European
Regarding the desired future of Russia, at least in our days of the new diaspora of Russian Europeans, a more or less clear consensus has already developed. Russia of the future can only be a modern and developed European country. Otherwise, it does not represent any value and should disappear as a political community, so as not to cause a sense of shame and danger among the rest of the world.
The main driving force for the desired future can be Russian Europeans. This subetestic community has long been formed within the Russian population, contributing to its approach to Western samples of public life. Russian Europeans unite almost the entire Russian culture from Alexander Radishchev to Vyacheslav Ivanov. Now this current has suffered a strong defeat in the entire history of its existence. The European temple of Russian culture is destroyed in their homeland, and obscure signs are drawn on its ruins and frank nonhumans defeat. Russian Europeans are expelled from their country and are damned from all sides, enemies and their own. Now, like Jews, after the destruction of the second temple in Jerusalem, we will either recreate and preserve the written and oral tradition of the Russian European to generations forward, or dissolve among other peoples of the world.
Suppose a significant number of refugees from Putin Russia will decide to preserve the Russian language and Russian culture as a means of broadcasting European values of freedom, peace and justice for their children and grandchildren. In order to determine the tasks associated with this, you need to be aware of what is happening in the present and have realistic ideas about the future. This also applies to those who remained at home. We will bring closer to the restoration of the European temple of Russian culture we will have the joint efforts taken within the country and abroad.
From the very beginning it is necessary to remember that the restoration of this secular temple is possible and necessary only in Russia itself.
The diaspora of Russian Europeans can maintain and develop the corresponding tradition in a constant dialogue with the peoples of the world, but this tradition itself does not make sense without the prospect of returning to their homeland.
At the same time, one cannot help but understand that this task cannot be fulfilled soon and will require effort for several generations ahead. This Russian Zion should become our dream, which, with the most optimistic scenario, will be able to finally realize the great-grandchildren of today's 20-year-olds.
Russia after the disaster
Now let's answer the question of what is happening with Russia right now and what awaits it in the foreseeable future.
Russian society painfully terrible and inhuman war, which leads it to an imminent disaster. The sooner this disaster occurs, the faster and easier the restoration will be. However, we cannot calculate the speed of the locomotive of history, it may take several years or even a decade to the collapse of the Putin system. No one can predict the final on, although almost everyone believes in its inevitability. It is impossible to win in the war, whose tasks include the destruction of the neighboring people and in which the rest of the world opens against you.
At the same time, another thing is obvious: the Russians from the nation, which was very least formed according to the European path and promised, with the inevitable ambulance of generations, the access to a new level of development of freedoms, in a matter of weeks and months turned into a nation of killers, rapists and looters . Spontaneous anti -war protests did not find wide public support. The human mass of Russians dutifully goes to the draft points and even buys equipment at his own expense. A critically thinking minority runs from the country or gets into prison. Quite soon, this society will consist of families of war veterans or their widows and orphans. They never recognize their responsibility for a committed collective crime.
This monstrous war will become the main and decisive event in the life of the generation of current 20-year-olds and older people, in this regard they are already lost. After the inevitable disaster for the rest of their lives, they will either look for excuses, or suffer from an inferiority complex or run away from both of them into alcohol and narcotic dreams. Their children will not be able to abandon their parents and will continue the same path, but the grandchildren will be at the fork. On the one hand, under the pressure of the resentment of their parents, these grandchildren can try to arrange another revenge. On the other hand, if in Russia by this time it is possible to build a new education system, the grandchildren of today's generation of war criminals will be able to grow to a sense of collective responsibility.
Exactly this happened in Germany, where the Nazi grandchildren of the Nazis 40 years later were really able to realize the severity and monstrous of the crimes of their grandfathers.
Only this generation of grandchildren will be able to return to the conscious and purposeful construction of European Russia, and their children, if nothing prevents, will be able to claim the successful completion of this process. Consider yourself how much time it will take for this - according to the most optimistic calculations, the establishment of a free, fair and developed society in Russia should be expected no earlier than the beginning of the next century.
Time of universities
I will definitely be reproached for the fact that my calculations demotivate anti -war activists operating in Russia and abroad. Why? Everything is exactly the opposite: understanding of realities does not cancel the need for action and only allows you to correctly determine the specific tasks and ways of their solutions.
Firstly, the sooner this war ends, the sooner Russia will be able to embark on the path of a long internal transformation. If this happens at least in a year or two, it will be better than if it happens in ten years. Therefore, right now it is necessary to maintain any initiatives within and outside the country that lead to a change in the criminal political regime in Russia and the cessation of war.
Secondly, it is already necessary to develop a long-term program for the formation of a new Russian society. The main task here is to win the struggle for values. It is necessary to actually rebuild the European temple of Russian culture , where new generations can rise. This task involves the creation of a new canon of the European written and oral tradition, which formulates the agenda of freedom, the rule of law and democracy in Russian.
Finally, this means that if the main task of activists is to continue the irreconcilable struggle with the ruling regime in Russia, then the task of Russian intellectuals, many of which were exile, are to create several international bilingual academic centers or even universities in Europe in Russian and English in order to form a future free and democratic European Russia.
It is on these academic venues that personnel should be prepared, which will determine the entire institutional design of the country of the future. You need to start with education.
The future of free Russia should be laid down on the University’s campus opened in Europe or North America for Russians in exile . His tasks, first of all, will include the preparation of future liberal bureaucracy, political activists and teachers in Russian.
If during the upcoming decade in the West one or more international universities for Russian Europeans will work, this will allow its graduates to make mass training of teachers for the grandchildren of the generation of current killers in Buch, Irpen and Raisins. If by that time the political regime will change in Russia, there will also be an opportunity to create a new school that will tear out new generations from Russian families poisoned by Putinism and will be able to return them to the European values of humanism. This is a very long and difficult job, but you need to start it right now. Only in this case, we will be able to count on success in a very distant, but still possible perspective.
The program I proposed actually presents the most optimistic scenario of the future of Russia. Sweden after the defeat in the Northern War survived nearly two centuries of depression and vegetation in the backyard of Europe. China after opium wars plunged in the "centenary of shame." Argentina and Serbia cannot get rid of the chimera of his own imperialism for several decades. Russia will not be able to be an exception in this series, but there is a chance to go aside to freedom during three generations.
