In Petrozavodsk, local resident Oleg Skakunov's equipment was confiscated due to comments calling for violent protest posted on social media two years ago. He himself told OVD-Info about this.
According to the man, on October 26, officers from the FSB and the Center for Combating Extremism confiscated a tablet, two mobile phones and a laptop from him. He noted that after the investigative actions he was taken for interrogation to the FSB department, where the investigator threatened him with compulsory psychiatric treatment, asked about his political views and attitude towards the war in Ukraine. Then the man, according to him, was taken to the Center for Combating Extremism, where he was asked about the attitude towards migrants.
Skakunov added that the comments imputed to him are related to his assumption that the government can only be overthrown by force. During the interrogation, he clarified that he believes that Vladimir Putin was killed in 2007, and a person similar to him took the place of the president. “Judging by the ethnic composition of the oligarchy, it seems that the country is captured by an ethnic organized group,” he added.
The man clarified that he did not know under what article the investigative actions were carried out and in what status he is now.
November 14 According to the documents that Skakunov handed over to OVD-Info, employees of the Center for Combating Extremism conducted a survey with him.
