Pastafarian Accused in 'Fake News' Case Faces New Case for Calls to Terrorism

A criminal case has been opened against Nizhny Novgorod Pastafarian and activist Alexey Onoshkin for calls to terrorism (Article 205.2 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by OVD-Info lawyer Kristina Tyurina, who represents Onoshkin in the case of "fakes" about the Russian army.

It is unknown what exactly served as the reason for initiating a new criminal case.

In August, a criminal case was opened against Onoshkin under the article on dissemination of "fakes" about the Russian army based on political hatred (paragraph "d" of Part 2 of Article 207.3 of the Criminal Code) due to a post on VKontakte about . At that time, the activist was in a pretrial detention center, but on October 3, the court, at the request of the investigator and with the consent of the defense, ordered his transfer to a hospital due to the man's mental disorder.
