
On November 4, in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, he arrested for two months, until January 2, the public figure and politician Alexander Kamenyuk, who is accused in the criminal case of the "discredit" of the Russian Army (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). This was reported by the local activist Vasily Vershinina.
“He did not come to meetings with the investigator and violated the allegedly previous decisions of the court [as it was stopped]. At the exit, one of the listeners tried to give the agenda for a meeting in the department for combating extremism,” said Vershinina.
The criminal case against Alexander Kamenyuk, the social activist and ex-head of the Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky branch of "Fair Russia" was opened in June 2022. A search was held in his apartment.
The reason for the initiation of the case was a repeated violation of the administrative article on the "discredit" of the army of the Russian Federation, follows from the court of the court. In April, Kamenyuk was fined 50 thousand rubles for an anti -war video on Instagram, in June - 40 thousand for similar videos.
After the initiation of the case, the Kamenyuk was chosen a preventive measure in the form of a ban on using the Internet and visiting public events. Nevertheless, critical videos came out on the activist’s page, including the course of mobilization and activities of employees of the local department for combating extremism.
In September, Kamenyuk was detained for two days allegedly due to an attempt to "hide from the preliminary investigation authorities."
In October, they came to a public activist, a major of reserve, but he refused to sign the document: "This is not me. Martial law has not been announced, I owe you nothing."
