The Russian Foreign Ministry considered the condition for the withdrawal of troops to start negotiations unacceptable

The withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of Ukraine is unacceptable for Moscow as a preliminary condition for starting negotiations. This was stated on Monday by Deputy Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia Alexander Grushko.

Moscow is ready for negotiations, which, according to him, was repeatedly said by President Vladimir Putin. “But these negotiations, of course, should take into account the situation“ on Earth, ”the deputy minister said.

On November 11, another Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Ryabkov assured that Russia was open to dialogue with Ukraine without preliminary conditions.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly stated that the condition for the start of negotiations may be the withdrawal of Russian troops from the entire international recognized territory of the country, including from the annexed territories, including Crimea.

On November 13, The Wall Street Journal reported that the United States recommended that Ukraine formulate “realistic” negotiation requirements, including revising the purpose of the country's return to the country. Washington officially states that he does not provide any pressure on Kyiv. US President Joe Biden emphasized that the conditions of the peaceful settlement of the conflict depend on Ukraine.

In recent days, against the backdrop of success at the front of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, politics and leaders of different countries are increasingly indicating the possibility of resuming negotiations that were suspended in May. The last full -time meeting of the delegations took place in Istanbul on March 29.

France President Emmanuel Macron today again urged to increase diplomatic efforts to convince the parties to the conflict to return to the negotiating table.

The delegations of Russia and the United States have not held meetings since the beginning of the Russian military invasion of Ukraine on February 24.
