Politician Alexei Navalny was sent to a cell-type room (PKT). This was reported by his press secretary Kira Yarmysh.
“Navalny was transferred to a PKT (cell-type room). It’s like a punishment cell, but not for 15 days,” she wrote on Twitter.
on his Instagram The oppositionist’s comrades explained that, according to the colony administration, the strict conditions of detention are “insufficient to educate” such a “notorious violator” like him.
Navalny said that the room to which he was sent was “an ordinary cramped cell, like a punishment cell.” He was allowed to take two books with him and use the prison kiosk “for a very limited amount.” In addition, he is now not allowed long visits with his family.
In a PKT, unlike a punishment cell, a prisoner can be kept for longer than 15 days.
In IK-6, Vladimir region, Navalny was sent to a punishment cell seven times. The last time - for 11 days for not addressing a colony employee by his first name and patronymic. The politician was also punished for refusing to wash a fence, for leaving a button undone , and for not putting his hands behind his back while walking down the corridor.
