The State Duma Committee on State Construction and Legislation rejected an amendment criminalizing the repeated dissemination of "propaganda of non-traditional sexual relations."
It was assumed that the re-dissemination of LGBT+ “propaganda” through the media could be punished with up to two years in prison, and among minors up to three years in prison. Repeated propaganda of pedophilia - up to two years, using the media - up to five years in prison.
The committee also rejected amendments to ban “LGBT+ propaganda, pornography, violence and cruelty” in computer games.
The Committee recommended that several amendments be adopted for the second reading of the document: to introduce a ban on propaganda of gender reassignment, to include sites with propaganda of LGBT+ pedophilia and gender reassignment in the register of prohibited ones and block them, and to ban the sale of goods containing such propaganda.
