Alexei Navalny in -6 Vladimir region is not given winter boots. The oppositionist wrote about this on Twitter.
IK reports Navalny reports that he has filed a lawsuit against the colony demanding the issue of boots, since his exercise yard is already covered with ice and it is difficult to walk on it in autumn boots. He noted that the rest of the prisoners were given winter uniforms several weeks ago.
The politician explained that the refusal to issue boots is another way of putting pressure on him. “They don’t give you winter boots. So, you either don’t go out for a walk (and suffer), or you go out and get sick (which has already happened to me),” he said. In case of illness, Navalny “will have to ask for something from the administration - pills, medical care, permission to wear woolen socks, etc.,” which will give employees new leverage over the oppositionist.
“The prison struggle is an endless search for mutual vulnerabilities. And stupid winter boots make me vulnerable,” the prisoner concluded.
Previously, Navalny was placed in a cell-type room or PKT - this is a separate part of the colony with more strict conditions of detention. A convicted person can be sent to the FCT for “malicious” violations of the established order. In addition, those placed there are limited in the number of parcels and packages, as well as in the amount of money that can be spent in the prison store.
They installed Alexei Navalny in the colony, and they still gave him winter boots. Kira Yarmysh wrote about this on her Twitter.
She wrote on December 7. She noted that the politician was specially summoned from the punishment cell for a commission. “The head of the colony asked: did you really file a lawsuit? Alexey said: true. And then the head of the colony took out the shoes from under the table and handed them to Alexei,” added Yarmysh.
