The period of detention of “Rosderzhava” journalists has been extended again

The Lyubertsy City Court extended the detention period for Rosderzhava journalists Alexander Dorogov and Yan Katelevsky. This was reported in the telegram channel of the journalist support group.

The accused will remain in the pre-trial detention center until February 24, 2023.

Jan Katelevsky and Alexander Dorogov are accused of extortion (clause “b” part 3 of article 163 of the Criminal Code) and insulting an official (article 319 of the Criminal Code) - the investigation believes that they extorted 1.3 million rubles from a traffic police officer for refusing to publications about him. Katelevsky is also accused in the case of damage to property out of hooligan motives (part 2 of article 167 of the Criminal Code).

On December 27, the Moscow Regional Court approved the extension of the guard for Yan Katelevsky. This is reported by the support group of the defendants in the case.
