In Verkhnaya Salda, those who oppose the construction of a silicon plant were fined 10 thousand rubles

The Verkhnesaldinsky District Court of the Sverdlovsk Region fined a local resident 10 thousand rubles, finding him guilty under the protest article (part 5 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The man himself told OVD-Info about this.

A resident of the Sverdlovsk region was detained on October 19, when he, along with other people, tried to get into the administration building for a public discussion of the preliminary results of an environmental impact assessment of the construction of a silicon plant at the Titanium Valley site. Everyone could not fit into the hall, so some people remained on the street, which the security forces considered an uncoordinated action.
