"Memorial" recognized the political scientist from St. Petersburg by the political prisoner

The human rights project “Support for the Politsyki. Memorial” recognized the St. Petersburg political scientist and member of the political council of the Solidarity movement Evgeny Bestuzhev political prisoners.

At the end of October, a criminal case was opened against him under an article on Fakes about the Russian army due to posts on the VKontakte about the war in Ukraine. Bestuzhev was detained on October 25 in his rented apartment in St. Petersburg, they searched and seized a computer.

The court concluded a political scientist into custody until December 15.

The “Support for Politzaks. Memorial” team believes that the persecution of Bestuzhev is due exclusively by his anti -war position.
