Hello, this is the editorial office of DOXA!
We are recruiting for the technical department and are looking for a full-time frontend developer who will help improve our website and also develop new services for DOXA.
It is important for us that you have experience developing in Vue and that you yourself can make a prototype from an idea to a minimal implementation.
We are looking for people who like what we do and who are willing to work with us to develop and improve the magazine. DOXA is a horizontally inclusive editorial office, and we welcome all candidates, including LGBQIA+ and representatives of other underrepresented groups!
What to do:
- Development and improvement of web applications on Vue3 / Nuxt3
- Creating a concept for frontend development: tools, standard qualities and approaches to writing code.
- (If desired) participation in the work of the editorial board. Each of us has the opportunity to determine the direction of the magazine by participating in editorial decision-making
What we expect:
- Development experience in Vue3 / Nuxt3
- Solid knowledge of modern Javascript
- Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS and experience in interface layout
- Experience with Git
- Understanding of HTTP and REST principles
- Ability to propose and justify engineering solutions
- Desire to understand the technologies used and offer your own
- High level of responsibility and self-organization
- Desire to fix things that don’t work well and help editorial members with their requests
- The ability to be on-call in emergency situations when something breaks (fortunately, this rarely happens)
It will be a big plus:
- Knowledge of Typescript
- Ability to test your code
- Experience with CSS preprocessors (PostCSS, Sass, Less)
- Experience with node.js
- Experience with Docker
- Experience setting up CI/CD (we use Github Actions)
- Experience with Sanity
What do we offer:
- There is scope for development - we have absolutely no legacy, and you yourself will be able to make architectural decisions if you consider them reasonable and can justify your decisions
- Flexible schedule and remote work
- Help with relocation if desired
- Full-time salary as a full-time employee and paid probationary period (1 month)
- Average salary in the market for independent media employees
- Absence of rigid hierarchical structures and bureaucratic delays
