Musk announced "amnesty" on Twitter

The new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, promised that next week he would conduct an “amnesty” for accounts blocked on the social network. He made this decision based on the results of a survey in which 72.4% of users out of more than three million voted supported unlocking.

According to Musk, the “amnesty” will affect those accounts that did not violate the law and did not send spam.

“The people have spoken. The amnesty will begin next week. Vox Populi, Vox Dei (“The voice of the people is the voice of God”),” Musk tweeted after voting was over.

On Sunday, using the same Latin phrase, Musk announced that he had regained access to Donald Trump's account. At the same time, the former US president said that he was not going to return to the social network.

Entrepreneur Elon Musk bought Twitter at the end of October this year for $44 billion. Almost immediately, he dissolved the board of directors, personally led the company and fired half of the employees of the social network. The businessman also promised that he would revise the rules for moderation and user verification.
