The fire occurred on the evening of November 23. The press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the Kostroma Region logos44.ru told that the fire was first noticed by a local police officer, who called the rescuers.
The recruiting station was located in a wooden one-story building. In the room there were gas cylinders and parcels intended for participants in the war in Ukraine. They were saved. The driving school located next door was completely burned down.
“First of all, they extinguished the recruiting station, and all our premises and everything that was in them - computers, teaching aids, medical simulators - burned down,” said school director Natalya Dobdina.
According to preliminary information, the fire started due to non-compliance with safety precautions when lighting the wood-burning stove in the boiler room that heats the school.
