The Ministry of Justice recognized the “ino -agents” of Evgeny Roizman and Ilya Novikov

The Ministry of Justice of Russia introduced the former head of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman, as well as lawyer Ilya Novikov and the host of Rain, Anna Mongait, to the register of individuals. In addition, the list of the Journalist from St. Petersburg, the head of the Free Buryatia Foundation Alexander Garmazapov, ex-lawyer of the Ufa headquarters of Navalny Fedor Telin and the coordinator of the Vitaliy observers in Perm Vitaly Kovin, were on the list.

The journalist Lyubov Barabashov brought the journalist in the register of the media, the “foreign agents”. The trans “T-action” was added to the register of unregistered associations-“foreign agents”

Earlier, the Social Partnership charity fund and LLC City without obstacles also got into the registers.

Chairman of the board of "social partnership" - human rights activist Valery Borschev, co -chair of the "Moscow Helsinki Group". The founder of the fund is a human rights activist and politician Galina Starovoitov, who was killed in 1998. At the initiative of this fund, public observation commissions were created in Russia.

From December 1, the Ministry of Justice will publish personal data of individuals included in the register of "foreign agents". The registry will indicate the date of birth, name, TIN and SNILS, the grounds for inclusion in the list.

• The legislation on "foreign agents" in Russia appeared in 2012. The law allowed the Ministry of Justice to recognize non-profit organizations by “foreign agents” if they receive financing from abroad and are engaged in “political activities”. The criteria for which such activities are determined are not clearly defined in the law, which allows the authorities to persecute organizations working in the field of education, culture, healthcare, ecology, and human rights protection.
• All five lists of foreign agents formed by the Ministry of Justice include more than 300 citizens, the media, non -profit organizations and public associations. The status of a foreign agent obliges among other things to report on the movement of funds on personal accounts on the movement of funds and marking all public messages. For errors in the report or lack of marking, punishment threatens to imprisonment.
• From December 1, 2022, anyone who is under "foreign influence" will be able to declare the ino -agent.
• The European Court of Human Rights recognized that the law on foreign agents violates human rights.
