Zelensky criticized the Kyiv authorities because of problems with “points of indestructibility” - places with heat and light where you can come during power outages

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, in an evening address on November 25, criticized the Kyiv authorities for the poor deployment of “points of indestructibility” - places with warmth and light, where you can come during a long power outage.

In fact, only the points deployed on the basis of the State Emergency Service and at the metropolitan railway station are normally provided, and, to put it mildly, work still needs to be done on other points. <…>

I expect quality work from the mayor's office. No one will forgive anyone for profanation with Kyiv points of indestructibility. I ask you to be more serious. As well as lies in reports of different levels.

According to Zelensky, at the time of his appeal, 600,000 people in the city were left without electricity, many of them “for more than 20 or even 30 hours.”

The President of Ukraine also said that as of the evening of November 25, power outages affect 6 million people across the country, and called on citizens to “still carefully consume electricity” and not to turn on “several powerful electrical appliances at once” if they have light.

The head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, David Arakhamia , said on the morning of November 26 that "the people of Kiev complain about the inconsistency of information about the work of invincibility points."

By the time the news was published, the Kyiv authorities had not publicly reacted to the criticism of the head of state. Earlier on November 25, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said that 400 "heating points" were deployed in the city. He said that you can come there to “recharge gadgets” and “drink tea” if there was no electricity in the house for more than a day. From his words it also followed that not all points have the Internet.

In recent months, Russia has been regularly attacking Ukraine's energy infrastructure, leaving Ukrainian cities without electricity and, as a result, water and heat supply.
