The head of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Vladimir Makei died
The Foreign Minister of Belarus, Vladimir Make, died, BelTA reports with reference to the press secretary of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry Anatoly of the Eye.
It is noted that the 64-year-old Makei died suddenly. The cause and circumstances of death are not reported.
On the eve of Makei met with the Apostolic Nunziy, Archbishop Ante Yozic, with whom he was discussing the “interaction of the Vatican and Minsk”, according to the Belarus Foreign Ministry.
Vladimir Makei was born on August 5, 1958 in a village in the Grodno region of the Belarusian USSR. In 1980 he graduated from the Minsk State Pedagogical Institute of Foreign Languages, in the early 90s he studied at the diplomatic Academy of the Austrian Foreign Ministry.
Until 2000, Makei worked as a diplomat, and then an assistant to the President of Belarus (until 2008) and the head of the presidential administration. In 2012, he was appointed to the post of Foreign Minister of Belarus.
