"Overnight" opened a shelter for the elderly homeless in the Leningrad region

The Overnight Charity Foundation opened a shelter for the elderly homeless in the village of Siversky, Leningrad Region on November 21. This was reported in the telegram channel of the fund.

How the project will work. The shelter is based in a two -story building with a total area of ​​260 square meters, which includes three bedrooms, two living rooms, a dining room, a computer zone and utility rooms. In addition, a garden plot adjoins the building. In the spring they plan to equip the garden, writes Kommersant.

The house is designed for 15 people. The first four people settled on the opening day of it, who were transferred to the Own Writing Office on Borovaya Street in St. Petersburg. The new shelter will take older people who are waiting for the queues of registration of a pension or disability, as well as a transfer to a boarding school or a nursing home.

In addition, a project curator, a social worker, a psychologist and a special duty officer will work in the house. In Siversky itself there is a district hospital.

What else is known about the shelter. Employees of the Overnight themselves bought a piece of land in the Leningrad region and built a house. In total, about 20 million rubles were spent on a shelter.
