The court fined the administrator of an anime store for selling an Adolf Hitler figurine

On November 24, the Liskinsky District Court of the Voronezh Region fined Elena Kiryukhina, the administrator of the Sihon anime store, for selling a cardboard figurine of Adolf Hitler to an 11-year-old girl on the denunciation of the child's mother. The court fined Kiryukhina two thousand rubles under the article on the demonstration of Nazi symbols (part 1 of article 20.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). The judge considered that the figure clearly guessed the personality of Adolf Hitler, and on his right hand he had a red armband with a swastika. According to the store administrator, the figurine was sold with a humorous purpose without the intent to promote Nazism. The court decided to destroy the cardboard figurine.

On November 2, a woman from Belgorod, together with her 11-year-old daughter, visited an anime store on Lenina Avenue in the city of Liski. There she saw a cardboard figurine of Hitler in the window. “I decided to see if the figurine would be sold to a teenage girl. Sold without problems. We recorded it on video and filed a complaint with the police,” the woman said.

A few days later, in the same store, they sold a rug with LGBTQ symbols to Elena Baturina, a resident of Liski. She also wrote a statement to the police demanding that the store be held accountable under the article on LGBTQ propaganda among minors (Article 6.21 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). After that, the police found an LGBTQ flag in the store and took it for examination, which is still ongoing.

The manager of the Sihon anime store, Ilya Kashirsky , stated that he “categorically condemns any manifestation of Nazism and LGBT propaganda”, supports patriotic organizations and traditional values.
