The Ministry of Culture will allocate money for films about degenerating Europe and service in the Russian armed forces

The Ministry of Culture has published a list of 17 priority themes for films that will receive financial support from the state in 2023.

“We publish a list of topics before the start of competitions for financing production and hope that filmmakers, when developing projects, will take into account the priorities of state support for film production. The Ministry of Culture continues to support such important topics for society as the protection of family values, patriotic education, the preservation of the traditions of the regions of Russia, the success of domestic science, and the popularization of the profession of engineer and teacher. In modern realities, we consider it necessary to also focus on countering attempts to falsify history and modern manifestations of the ideology of Nazism, talk about the heroism and dedication of Russian soldiers during a special operation, the work of front-line brigades and volunteers, ”the website of the department quotes the words of Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova.

The list includes topics such as:

• Historical cinema. Lessons of history, lessons of memory. Opposition to attempts to falsify history. Peacekeeping mission of Russia. Historic victories of Russia. 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The liberation mission of the Soviet soldier. The conflict of generations, the continuity of generations.
• Russia is a modern, stable and secure state that provides opportunities for development and self-realization.
• Motivation of young people to the development of workers and engineering specialties. Raising the social status of the worker and engineer, research and innovation.
• Opposition to modern manifestations of the ideology of Nazism and fascism. Popularization of the heroism and selflessness of Russian soldiers during a special military operation.
• Popularization of service in the Armed Forces of Russia. The unity of society around the support of the army (front-line brigades, volunteers, volunteers). Strengthening the status of the military profession on the examples of historical events and modern history.
• Neo-colonial policy of the countries of the Anglo-Saxon world. degradation of Europe. Formation of a multipolar world.
