Latvian Foreign Minister called on to allow Ukraine to attack goals within Russia

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia Edgar Rinkevich urged Kyiv to attack the targets in the depths of Russian territory. NATO countries are still refraining from the supply of weapons of a sufficient radius of action, Ukraine is striking only in the border regions of Russia and the targets in the annexed regions.

"We must allow Ukrainians to use weapons to defeat missile launchers or airfields," Rinkevich said on the sidelines of the meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Bucharest on November 29. NATO countries, among other weapons, supply Ukraine with artillery attitudes and smart shells for them, missile systems and anti -ship missiles. Their range usually does not exceed 100-120 kilometers. However, they refrained from the supply of tactical missiles and missile systems with a radius of action up to 300 kilometers, as well as from the supply of assault and fighter aircraft.

The world media, citing sources, suggested that Washington was afraid of the further escalation of the war of Russia and Ukraine. According to Rinkevich, several other NATO member states also believe that Ukraine should not have restrictions on the choice of goals.
