A musician from Tomsk accused in a case of discrediting the army was banned from certain actions
The Sovetsky District Court of Tomsk chose a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions of musician Anna Chagina. She is accused in the case of repeated discrediting of the army (Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code). Her friend Igor Novikov reported this to OVD-Info.
Until January 22, 2023, Chagina is prohibited from using mail and the Internet, leaving home from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and attending public events.
Security forces came to search Chagina’s home on November 30, after which she was detained and charged. The reason for the criminal case was the entries and comments on the woman’s page on VKontakte, published between May 4 and June 12.
A case under Part 1 of Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code can be brought against those who have at least once been brought to justice under the administrative article on discrediting (Article 20.3.3 of the Administrative Code). After being detained at an anti-war rally on March 6, Chagina was found guilty under this administrative article.
20 January 09:55 On January 18, the Sovetsky District Court of Tomsk extended the ban on certain actions for Anna Chagina until February 23. This was announced by her lawyer Konstantin Mukhametkaliev.
