Children's TV channel Disney, which is a local version of the American TV channel Disney Channel, will stop broadcasting in Russia. According to Kommersant, citing sources, the company's partners are already being notified of the upcoming departure.

Instead of Disney, its controlling holding, YuTV, ​​is preparing to make a new TV channel, the newspaper reports. According to Mash, this TV channel will be called "The Sun", it will also broadcast children's content.

Mash also writes that Disney will stop broadcasting on December 14th.

The website and channel pages on social networks were no longer updated on September 30, Kommersant clarifies.
