On November 30, early morning, the security forces came home to the Tomsk musician and teacher Anna Chagina - so she found out that she was accused of a criminal case for "discrediting the army." On March 6, Anna was detained at an anti -war rally. In September, the Prosecutor General’s Office blocked the Chagina page in VKontakte for anti -war posts, which now became the basis for initiating a criminal case under Part 1 of Art. 280.3 of the Criminal Code. The maximum punishment is up to three years in prison.
On December 1, the court determined the preventive measure - the ban on using the Internet and mail, leave the house after 22:00, and attend mass events. On the evening of December 1, after the trial, Anna told Siberia correspondent. Realities about her criminal case and her three versions of how and when the war ends.
On the eve of the visit of the security forces, Anna celebrated her birthday, the guests parted late. Midnight did not sleep, since her nineteen -year -old daughter had a temperature, and at 6 a.m. they called the doorbell. Anna opened and saw a whole brigade: "There were two witnesses, two opera from the FSB, investigator, special forces and lawyer." Just returning from the insulator where she spent the night, she found that the door eye from the entrance was prudently sealed with a sticker. At that moment, it was not until it was noticed - Anna says that it was difficult to breathe with fear and constantly wanted to drink. The second feeling was indignation.
- As soon as they came, I said: "Gentlemen, this is my house and my rules." I insisted that they take off. They spilled all the books, looked at all folders. I have a lot of papers - printouts, notes, archives. Confiscated computer equipment, a bunch of flash drives and phones, including non -working ones.
To calm her nerves, Anna picked up the guitar and arranged a concert. She sang children's songs and Okudzhava.
-Actually , I rarely sing concerts, but here I realized that there would be no more chance. I tried not to pay attention to them.
- Did you have a lawyer?
- They brought with them. The lawyer for the appointment was both yours and ours. At my request, she called my friend Igor, but during the search, she did not say, for example, that I could write in the protocol that I was against their video setting during a search. We added this already in the Investigative Committee. My daughter also wanted to take a search on the camera, but they took a smartphone from her. I was scared that they would first close me for 48 hours in a temporary detention center, and then immediately two months will be sent to a pre -trial detention center.
The search in Anna’s house lasted about three hours, then she and her daughter were taken to the UK.
- The daughter had a temperature of 39. I asked me to be the first to be interrogated as a witness and released, and then they were already talking to me. But at first they interrogated me for four hours, and my daughter was waiting for all this time. The lawyer for their intended purpose told me that with such a temperature she could refuse to go for interrogation, but for some reason said only later. Today, the daughter was taken away by ambulance with pneumonia.
During interrogation in the UK, Anna referred to the 51st article and refused to testify on the merits of the case.
-Verily said that I did not admit guilt, but, in my opinion, they did not enter this in the protocol. They gave some kind of paper about cooperation with the investigation, asked to read carefully. But I refused to cooperate, and on this document I wrote that I do not consider it necessary to read it. Copies of the protocols were not given me in my arms, citing the fact that the lawyer took a picture of the protocols.
- Further IVS?
- Yes. To have something to do there, I took a pocket Bible with me from the house. Sitting in a single chamber. Cold. The stink of the sink and toilet. According to the law, they could keep me there for 48 hours, so she asked detergents to wash the sink and toilet. In the morning they brought.
The light does not turn off at night. Until 10 pm, the poppy radio "Vanya" played. I am a musician, and I have other musical preferences. In order not to let such music into consciousness, she meditated. I read the Bible. She spent the benefit of time.

- How did the court go?
- I petitioned for the change of lawyer, and at the trial I already had a lawyer by agreement. I managed to make the meeting open. The investigator asked me to choose a preventive measure prohibiting me to use all means of communication. The lawyer asked for softening, and they left me the opportunity to use telephone communications.
Now Anna is forbidden to use the Internet and mail, leave the house after 22:00, attend mass events.
“The FSIN tested on you .” How do you like him?
- When I saw such a bracelet on others, I thought: “These are the shackles of Satan! ..” Normally, for now. I have not tried yoga to study in this bracelet. I will work out, it will be clear what feelings ... I calmly talk, even joking, but in fact I am in shock. Once I saw a man who, after an accident, stood with a crushed skull - the brain was visible right. And he was talking calmly. Pain shock. Something similar is happening to me now.
- How selected a preventive measure, the ban on using the Internet and leave the house in the evening, will complicate your life?
- And before the criminal case was already worse. In September, the Prosecutor General’s Office blocked my page on VKontakte, which was very reflected, because through this page I found private lessons, students with whom I was engaged in music. I have very low income. I sold my apartment to buy less housing and pay off debts, but due to the fact that now the accused in the criminal case, I can not complete the deal.
Anna recalls that on the eve of the March anti -war rally she had a concert.
- There was a hundred man. Before playing, I openly spoke out against the war. She played on the violin one of her favorite Ukrainian carols. They took it very warmly. After the concert, the audience came up to me: "My son is going to a rally on March 6. I do not know what to do. I'm afraid." There were others. They were surprised: "You say that war is always bad. What Russia attacked." But even such did not condemn, but shared doubts.
My daughter went to a single anti -war picket on March 3, and she was immediately taken away. This was even before tightening the legislation that occurred on March 5. On March 6, I was scared to go out, but I could not stay away. My friend, who is seriously ill, came to the rally with her family. I can’t name her name, because I'm afraid that now they will again begin to row everyone in a row. Her husband was detained. It seemed that she would detain her. She came out with the poster "Blessed are the peacekeepers." I took this poster from her and raised. For about ten minutes I stood, and I was put in a traffic police car and took me to the ROVD of the Sovetsky District. Then they fined the administrative article "For the discrediting of the army."
- How long have you been in protest movement?
- Protest rallies are not the most important thing in my life, but I am used to openly express my opinion. I went beyond Navalny, for TV-2 (Tomsk independent television company closed by the authorities in 2014. - approx. SD) . In 2014, when Crimea began, I went to a rally with a poster "Do not shoot at the brothers."
- Why are you personally against this war?
- I am against any war. There is no conflict by violence. I sincerely admire martial arts if this is an honest duel one on one and without weapons. And massacres can only be achieved by universal death.
After February 24, I rethought a lot. The war allowed to separate what I love, from what I hate. Before the war, many years wanted to leave Russia. I hate it when a person endlessly suffers what cannot be tolerate - humiliation, dirt, an unworthy life. And he does nothing with it. War is an attempt by such people to solve the accumulated problems through violence and hysteria.
- What do you like in Russia?
-I love nature, I love some simplicity. Not the one that is worse than theft, but the simplicity that can be called openness. The war made it possible to find out that among Russians there are many honest and decent people. Before the war, I was little interested in politics, I watched the events in the Donbass little. She was engaged in her family, creativity and work.
When the war began, Tomsk opened to me from a new side. I came here to another level of social ties, communications. Despite the fact that we are not in everything, we still manage to maintain contact. It is very important to me. It is for the sake of this that it is worth going to rallies. Love will save the world.

- You already had an administrative “ for discrediting the army ” when you posted posts in VKontakte, which eventually became a pretext for initiating a criminal case. Did you understand what this is fraught with?
- I understood. But it was important for me to convey my position to people. I am morally ready for the fact that the state will punish me for this. With a lawyer who now defends me, I have not yet spoken in detail. But, as far as I understand, I am threatened with either a prison term or a huge fine. I'm not afraid of either one or the other.
I felt that they were watching me, but I could not fully believe it. I saw some people under the windows of the apartment. The operative of the FSB, who accompanied me today, said that he personally followed me. And the investigator said that all investigators of the Soviet District Department of Internal Affairs know me. Apparently, they were on duty here in shifts. By Tomsk standards, I have rather big social networks - more than a thousand people on VKontakte. And many acquaintances of the most diverse, in no way in contacting.
- In what kind of posts in VKontakte did they find “discrediting”?
- While I only read the protocols, I have not yet met the materials of the criminal case. As far as I understood, the texts of the Christian thinker Pavel Levushkan and the philosopher Nikolai Karpitsky with an indication of the authorship of the texts copied from Facebook are charged with Facebook and placed on my VKontakte page. Karpitsky is a philosopher who lived in Tomsk, who headed the Tomsk Anti -Fascist Committee, which now lives in Ukraine. He talks about Necrophilian imperialism, about why the Russians behave in this way - both in war and in peaceful life. And plus the comment “No War!”, Which I left in VKontakte under someone's post.
- Anna, why do you think in Russia 9 months after the start of the war and even after the start of mobilization there is no mass anti -war movement?
- Because no one wants to sit in prison. But with the beginning of mobilization, the war affected even those who hoped to remain an observer. I am familiar with the Tomsk family, where my husband works in Gazprom, and my wife teaches at a university. The husband earned well, the family traveled a lot around the world. But, when the war began, they did not object to its official goals and they were not surprised by the statements of the propagandists that Putin was fighting NATO and Western gay parades. And then the agenda came to her husband, and their point of view immediately changed. The husband escaped abroad.
- Speaking of emigration. You already had an administrative. You saw that they are watching you. Why didn't you leave?
- I had obligations. I did not emigrate because of my relatives. The daughter has health problems. I have mom here. Grandpa and grandfather, who are already ninety years old. In the end, I have a loved one here.
- And even in the future you do not consider such an opportunity for yourself?
- I am considering, of course. More precisely, I would like to travel around the world, for a long time to plunge into another culture, in another language environment, to live in another climate. I am a very curious person. Before the war, I had such a plan: here the children will grow up - and I flew! But this is not about such emigration when you leave and burn all the bridges.
-In your opinion, who is to blame for the fact that this war has begun?
- First of all, Putin. He approves all decisions. But not only he is to blame. There is my fault. I voted for Putin in the elections when he was first elected. The only time she voted for him. He seemed to be a man who could do something good for the country. I was very naive, I did not know anything about Putin's past. Sight occurred when I noticed that the Russian reality was beginning to resemble the scientific and fantastic novel by Clive Steapleza Lewis "Merzey Power". In this novel there is such a character - a gray shadow. He is nowhere and everywhere. And his proteges in the field resemble him himself and poison the atmosphere. And there, as in Putin's Russia, they endlessly repair what is not necessary to repair, create the appearance of activity.
And "screaming", and even "zeroing" seemed only absurdity and absurdity. But I did not expect such a scale of demonism that we see now. Like Stalin or Hitler, Putin is a demon that stole my country.
- How much this war can continue and how will it end?
-I have three versions: reasonable, mystical and punk-optimistic. What are you?
- Let's take turns all in turn.
- The mind says that this is for a long time, for many years. Even if the fighting against Ukraine ends in the foreseeable future - within two years - in Russia itself it is unlikely to end quickly. But I do not want to talk about the civil war.
Mystical point of view. This war is part of the ongoing struggle of good with evil, just now it has been affected by us personally.
And Pankovskaya - "we will leave the zoo", as Yegor Letov sang. Recently, before the criminal case, I wanted to score on everything and just believe that sooner or later we will stop being monkeys who urinate each other. We will leave the cells - each of our own - and become people.
-Do you see any sprouts that give hope that in Russia is possible insight, a kind of purification?
- I see. Many of my friends say: "I will not go anywhere. I will build here. This is my homeland, and I will not give it to anyone." Among them there are calm optimists who believe that "this will pass it," and there are decisively tuned, ready to fight.
My acquaintance supported Navalny and, fleeing the criminal case, went to California forever. And his friend, an American, on the contrary, arrived from California in Altai ten years ago, became a Russian farmer and is not going to leave Russia. I love Russian language, Russian culture, but I am not a nationalist, but a globalist. I am for a world without borders and I hope that Russia someday become part of this world.
“You took the Bible with you to the insulator.” Do you consider yourself Orthodox? How do you feel about the ROC drowning for war?
-I practice integral spirituality, but I still bury in the Orthodox Church and consider myself a Christian. The official position of the Russian Orthodox Church is a shame, all the Orthodox churches condemned her. Real Russian Orthodoxy and what it is associated with today is heaven and earth. What is the Christian conclusion? God is merciful. And to people who are mistaken, too. Another thing is that everyone suffers from their error, including the mistaken themselves.

- All independent media who reported your detention wrote that you are a musician. What music do you play?
- I graduated from the music college as an altist and play Alta. I teach the game on the violin. In the past, I had a bunch of groups. Played rock, punk, folk, Celtic. In addition, she played with the violin ensemble. I worked in a symphony orchestra for a year.
- Is there a music that saves you today?
- Recently, I have been listening to music very little, an overload has come. But the bang always saves. Of the relatively recent discoveries, the St. Petersburg singer Sasha Sokolova, who, unfortunately, died of oncology. I can say about her music: "This is about our time."
- Do you admit that the court can make you an acquittal?
- I don’t count on it ... When I was dozing in the IVS camera, I thought: "It would be great to open my eyes in the morning and see the ocean - clean and transparent." This is how I believe that the court can make a fair sentence - as in an unrealizable sleep, as in a miracle. I believe that this war will end. I admit the possibility of a miracle.
Since the entry into force of the new articles of the Criminal Code and the Code of Administrative Offenses on the discrediting of the Russian army and fakes about it in Russia, more than 100 criminal cases have been instituted and about 4,500 protocols on administrative offenses have been drawn up.
