In Ufa, FSB officers detained Fail Alsynov, a defender of Shikhan Kushtau. This was reported by the telegram channel "KushTau on-line".
The man was taken to the local department of the FSB. The reason for his detention is unknown.
This is not the first detention of an activist. Alsynov was last detained in September and charged with disobedience to police officers (Article 19.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses). One of the security officials then said that "the interception plan was announced yesterday", and also added that it would be better if the activist "sit quietly, did not write anything, did not say anything, and nothing would happen."
In April, Alsynov and two other defenders of Shikhan Kushtau were detained by employees of Center E. At that time, there were protests against illegal gold mining in the Baimaksky district of Bashkortostan. The police questioned the detainees about the planned actions and about the connection of local protests with the events in Ukraine.
19:48 KushTau on-line writes that Alsynov was released from the FSB department. The activist was charged with an article on discrediting the army (Article 20.3.3 of the Code of Administrative Offenses), and they also searched his car and confiscated his phone. What caused it is unknown.
