Cheboksary activists who called for payments to those mobilized were fined under the rally article

On October 27, the Leninsky District Court of Cheboksary fined Communist Party activists Nikita Pavlov and Alexander Arkhipov under the article on organizing a public event (Part 2 of Article 20.2 of the Administrative Code) because of pickets demanding payments to those mobilized. The decisions are on the court’s website; the Angry Chuvashia telegram channel drew attention to them.

Young people went out with pickets on October 20. As follows from the court decision, Arkhipov “unfolded a pre-prepared poster,” and Pavlov, “pursuing the common goal of conducting uncoordinated picketing,” photographed his comrade. A single picket was considered a mass event. Soon after the picket, the activists were called to the police, where reports of the offense were drawn up against them.

Pavlov was fined 20 thousand rubles, the amount of Arkhipov’s fine is still unknown.
