The Ministry of Justice included The Bell, Rovshan Askerov and Mikhail Fishman in the register of "foreign agents"

The Russian Ministry of Justice has included The Bell in the list of “foreign agents,” according to a single register maintained by the Ministry of Justice ( .pdf ).

The register also includes:

• Rovshan Askerov, expert in the game "What? Where? When?"
• Mikhail Fishman, employee of the Dozhd TV channel
• Ruben Apresyan, philosopher
• Rostislav Murzagulov, public figure
• "Ecological Movement "42"" (Arkhangelsk)

The Ministry of Justice included them in the register on the basis of the seventh article of the federal law “On control over the activities of persons under foreign influence,” which regulates the procedure for inclusion in the register of “foreign agents.”

The register of The Bell and the environmental movement “42” contains the names and surnames of the participants of these organizations (the Ministry of Justice has done this before; for example, the register contains the names of the participants of the “Vesna” movement).

After the update, 499 individuals and organizations were mentioned in the Ministry of Justice list, although some of them were excluded from the register.
