On the evening of December 8, the ex-paced Skopinsky colony-settlement Sarah Rachel Krivanke left Russia. This is one of the two US citizens convicted in Russia for criminal offenses. Behind the fate of the basketball player, Britney Grainer monitored the whole world, the US government sought to return to her homeland. Sarah NPO "Sitting Rus'" barely found in a colony near Ryazan. In February of this year, Sarah Krivanek was sentenced by 1 year 3 months of imprisonment for causing a friend of mild harm to health and a threat to murder. She was recognized as a person whose stay is undesirable in the Russian Federation and was deported from the country after liberation. As an American experienced 33 misfortunes in Russia over 5 years of life in Russia and why she plans to return, Sarah Krivanek told the correspondent “Says Nemoskva”.

The US citizen " sparkled the cohabitant with a knife", after which "tried to escape from Russian justice" - so in February this year the media described the situation into which Sarah Rachel Krivanek fell. Upon closer examination of the “sparkling knife” the nose of Mikhail Karavaev was scratched and healed under the patch himself, and she was not going to hide from justice: she just wanted to leave for her homeland. She believed that the case of a scratch on the nose of a friend has long been closed.

A telephone conversation with Sarah Krivanek took place the day before her deportation, when she was still in the center of temporary detention of foreign citizens (ZVIG) in Ryazan. According to her story, she came to Moscow to a man whom she met on one of the social networks. In addition, I have long wanted to visit Russia. It soon became clear that the groom loved to drink and fight. Sarah left him, rented an apartment, worked a lot. Then there was a pandemic that violated all her plans and deprived of her job.
Sarah spoke and spoke, thanked the volunteers of the “Rusa sitting” (entered into the register of NCO-foreigners), who gathered and brought her the first transfer for many months, God, who sent her a lot of good people, began to cry when mentioning a colony-settlement.

During his stay in the Russian prison, her vocabulary was significantly replenished. Sarah sometimes confuses obscene expressions with phraseologisms. On the eve of the departure, she seemed very confused, did not understand what was waiting for her, and did not even want to fly away - he still does not know when he could pay a debt for a ticket that the US Embassy bought for 2 thousand dollars. About this and much more (but not about everything - Sarah learned self -censorship in a Russian prison) - in her monologue.
- Why did you come? I’m not risky, I'm wildly free, I don’t want to live in my garden and not see the world, I want to find out and study, I'm interested in everything, I'm bored at home. What struck me in Russia - so that just wow! - These are many forests, beautiful fast metro, cheap products. Russians people treated me very well.
I have a certificate, I taught a language, I really, really love my work, worked in schools, institutions, summer camps, gave private lessons. They paid me, I rented an apartment.

When Kovid began, the students left little. And when everything calmed down, I began to work in the kindergarten, but I fell ill with pneumonia, and they broke the contract with me. And then [I found more work and several part -time jobs] I fell on the ice and broke my wrist. They [the leadership of the educational institution] asked me not to say that she had fallen on their site and that she fell beyond the territory.
I said: OK, only you will pay me treatment. But they did not pay anything. I said: Lord, what is going on?! God looked at me and gave another job.
When I worked with the children, I believed that I did not work, but just was engaged in my favorite thing, it was such happiness.
- In August [2021], the owner of the apartment said that I have five days to move out, he would sell it. At the same time, I received the news that my dad was sick in America, and I decided to go to him. But I had furniture and three cats, it took time to deal with it.
Misha [Karavaev] was my neighbor, I am in the fourth entrance, he is in the third. And he said everything: I love you, let's live together, blah blah blah. What "together"? He has a room in a communal apartment!
But I had nothing to do, it was necessary to attach furniture, find the hands of two cats, Main-kun Drago would fly away with me. I thought, I’ll live temporarily with Misha, not for long. On September 1, when we transferred the furniture to his entrance, I found out that dad was dead.

In November, there was a conflict with Misha, he broke my fingers, there were hematomas, and I am bruised. He broke furniture, TV, took my hair and threw me out of the room like a kitten. I called the police, but they threw the phone there. The next morning I looked in the mirror - Oh, my god! As I go to work now, I work with the children! Such bruises will not pass right away, makeup will not help.
And after 5 days he began to beat again. I took the knife and struck him. And he ran away, shouted: "She beats me, ah ah!" Immediately called an ambulance and the police. The investigator said that it is impossible to leave Moscow.
I signed many, many papers, they asked me to abandon the lawyer, said that I did not need him. They said, do as we say, and we will not put you in jail. In December, he began to beat again, I turned to the embassy. And I asked the investigator: you can already go home, I feel very bad. They said: yes. They did not understand what kind of house I am about - at Misha or about America?

On December 13, I gathered, took the cat, then I was afraid. The embassy said not to take a cat. I stood and prayed: Lord, what should I do, answer. And I left my Drago Misha to take care of him. We went to the embassy, I entered into an agreement, went to the airport, and Misha was home. And they arrested me.
I’m sitting here now and ask: Lord, tell me if I have sinned! I prayed many times, he did not answer me. The interrogator told me that this is not for long [the consequence and ban on departure from Moscow], two or three weeks, and we are throwing the case into the archive. From November 10 to December 15, a lot of time has passed! I now think that it is all the same ... It’s good if I had not gone to the embassy, I would still be brought to court and condemned.
I had a lot of time to think in prison. I was forced to abandon the lawyer - my mistake.
They also wrote in my testimony that I threatened: "I will kill you, I will cut!" I said many times that I did not say this. This prefix - I did not know her. I knew only to "cut" - this is "cutting bread." I did not know this meaning, only in a pre -trial detention center I found out. And she did not cut him, but struck his nose. And we have signed the world three or four times, I did not understand that I could not leave.

- When they condemned me, Misha brought the program the next day: it was Rolton, the old plate is cracked, a photograph about myself, tea, old bread from the house. We sat with the girls - there was a very small camera, I thought it would bring a toothbrush and pasta, fruits. For the second time, I brought my old toothbrush, a loaf, a pack of cigarettes and two apples. I divided into everyone. He walked and walked like an old record, but I told him: that’s it.
I believe that the program [from the "Rus'-sitting" in mid-September, since it was impossible to send a product parcel from abroad, it was the first to put money on the account], I did not even expect, everything was tasty and beautiful. When I was told that I had a program, I was on the industrial [at work in the industrial zone], my eyes are the same!

The conditions were horrified! And the road: pre -trial detention center, court, pre -trial detention center, stage, and their own rules everywhere. In one place it was not very bad, and then you leave for other conditions, to other people. There was no psychologist. Once an employee came to the hut, talked with a girl who fell and lost knowledge ... consciousness. It was a fight, the girls are fighting there. They called an ambulance and a young man, I asked, and this was a psychologist. I saw him once in October.
The conditions in the prison are terrible. Nobody came from the embassy. And when I went out, they did not give me a statement that people would take my things out of Odintsovo.
They say in the eyes: "Yes, yes," but they do nothing. I will honestly say how in Russian: it is real with*ki there. This is even more fourthly!
I had things with me, who could not be kept in prison, they were taken to the storage room. When I went out, they didn’t give me a lot, they said that they were destroyed. They gave a hundred dollars.

I was in hell! And all the girls are there: "Oh-oh, take us from here, this is a real hell." Even Russian girls. It's hard for them, they also suffer. When I arrived in the colony, I was in shock, I can’t even tell the level of shock. What we think for sins here, in the wild, there, on the contrary, literally Sodom and Gomorrah.
What else is happening there, I cannot tell. The colony believes that nothing of this can be told, otherwise you will be a "rat".
In prison, also managed to meet good people, but not enough. In prison people are bad - evil, abnormal, drug addicts. I was there, but I still did not understand how they live there, as they think.
- When they gave me the phone [after release, in Zvig], I called Misha and asked what to do with the cats. He gave them out, could not cope, and my Drago is a neighbor’s brother. I contacted her and asked how he was there, asked to leave the photo, but they did not send me. Now not pick it up. There is no one to bring it to the airport, buy a carrier, make certificates [Vet passport with vaccination stamps]. I really, very much love Drago, but I'm still afraid that this flight through Dubai in Los Angeles will be too complicated for him.
Love - it is considered not only that I want to have it next to me, but love is considered when I am afraid for his health, even if he will be with another.
In a pre -trial detention center and colony, I could only watch TV with Russian films and news, now I have the Internet. Do you follow the fate of Britney Grainer? She found hash, no one understands why she took him with her.
But she has her own lawyers, money, fans, her own - how is it? - Plisity, support. The US state monitors it, although it will be sent to the most terrible camp for women.
They will send her to the conditions even worse than I was [two days after the conversation, Groininer was exchanged for Russian citizen Viktor Buta, and she flew home ahead of Sarah].

I am no offense at Russia. There are different nationalities, but there are good people, there are bad people. The Russian people are good, people are not to blame, they also suffer in prison - Russians, Belarusians, Ukrainians, Muslims. I do not think that everyone is guilty there, they just sacrificed to the one who is sitting there at the very top.
And I see that we cannot say what we think, because the walls have ears. I am sad that you and I cannot speak freely, but it is.
I don’t even know how to change our world is hard. Thank you for the Lord did not leave me in prison. The embassy forgot, but God did not forget and directed good people to me. I will return home, rest. My deportation for three years, maybe I will return if my Drago is alive.
Since September, an employee of Rus Sitting, in touch with Sarah Krivanek, paid for the telecommunication card from the organization Zonaelecom, coordinated the collection of parcels, talked with the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Ryazan Region Natalia Epikhina. She believes that Sarah was several times harder than any other Russian woman, since she did not have support at all, she did not understand many words and unspoken rules of behavior in jail. The prisoners felt and complicated her life.

In a letter of Filimonova, Krivanke described the meaning of the parcels to the zone: “You must tell you, my life in prison improved significantly after the first package. My status increased. These were two huge bags, and the girls in my cell are like these:“ Oh, show us, your family really loves you. ”But I haven’t had a concept, from whom it was, but I didn’t know. Measure, I realized that someone cares about me.
When other prisoners see that you have a package and that in it, it is of great importance. This gave me strength, made the bad girls retreat a little, because you have someone behind you. You are no longer garbage. "
According to Filimonova, foreigners in Russian prisons are actually double punishment - many other restrictions are imposed on restriction of freedom:
- One of the most unprotected in the zone is foreigners. For them, the already unenviable fate of the prisoner of the Russian prison is complicated by additional restrictions. They are virtually deprived of medical care: they cannot get it for free, because they do not have a compulsory medical insurance policy, and medical care is impossible for money, because there is no money on their accounts: it is difficult for foreign relatives to replenish personal accounts of the convicts, and sometimes it is simply impossible.
Foreign citizens cannot realize their rights to meetings with relatives due to remoteness of their relatives residence. For the same reason, they have difficulties with calls and transmissions.
If a convicted from the country of far abroad, he does not even have the opportunity to communicate in his native language - there is simply no one with. A very serious problem for a foreign prisoner is ignorance of the laws by which both the system and the prison population lives. The test that fell to Sarah, of course, is excessively and does not correspond to the severity of the deed. But we have no other ships, as well as the penitentiary system.
