Since the beginning of the full -scale armed invasion of Russian troops, almost 12 million citizens of the country left their homes to Ukraine, the Commissioner of the Verkhovna Rada for Human Rights Dmitry Lubinets said .
Of these, 4.9 million moved from more dangerous to less dangerous areas of Ukraine, and 7 million (which is about 20% of the country's population) left its borders.
Also, according to the data called Lubinets, 13 million citizens of Ukraine remain in the "areas of intensive hostilities" and in the territories occupied by Russian troops.
