In Latvia, a warning of the party for an interview with the Russian media was issued

The State Security Service of Latvia (SGB) issued a warning of the party "Stability!" Due to the fact that its members gave interviews to the Russian and Belarusian media. Including publications that are controlled by people under the economic and financial sanctions of the European Union. About this writes the portal DELFI.

The special services argue that the party members and deputies of the Sejm Alexei Rodlikov and Gloria Grevtsov in an interview made statements that contradict the law "On Political Parties". We are talking about the ban for political parties to support, including information, persons or states that undermine or threaten territorial indivisibility, sovereignty and independence of democratic countries. What kind of interview and the media are discussed, the publication is not specified.

The SGB also recalled the risk of criminal liability for the transfer of financial and economic resources to persons who include sanctions lists of the European Union for the invasion of Ukraine.

In the elections in the 14th Sejm from the party "Stability!" 11 deputies were elected. The party is focused on the Russian -speaking electorate and advocates reducing the dependence of Latvia on the European Union until leaving it and granting the right to vote in the elections to people living in the country in the status of "non -citizens" - this is about 10 percent of the country's population who did not receive citizenship in independent Latvia after the collapse of the USSR.
