Former head of the state corporation Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin was wounded when a hotel in Donetsk was shelled. He was hospitalized, there is no threat to his life. TASS and RIA Novosti write about this with reference to Rogozin’s assistant.
“On the outskirts of Donetsk, a hotel was shelled, where a group of military advisers led by Dmitry Rogozin had been staying in recent days. Dmitry Olegovich was wounded in the back. He is hospitalized. There is no threat to life,” the assistant said. According to him, Rogozin’s companions were also injured.
The former official himself described the injuries he received as follows: “Wounded in the back. I will live. The fragment [passed] a centimeter from the spine.”
In turn, Baza reports that a restaurant in Donetsk, where Rogozin celebrated his birthday, came under fire. The publication initially reported that the former official was not injured, but later wrote that he received a shrapnel wound to the soft tissues of the head, a penetrating shrapnel wound to the buttocks and a penetrating shrapnel wound to the left thigh.
According to some reports, as a result of the shelling of the restaurant, five people could have been wounded and at least one could have died - the security guard of the chairman of the government of the self-proclaimed DPR, Vitaly Khotsenko, writes Baza. Khotsenko himself, according to the publication, was wounded. Information about his injury was confirmed to TASS by his press secretary. According to her, there is no threat to Khotsenko’s life.
