Residents of Nizhnevartovsk are accused of terrorism for the arson of the military enlistment office

The investigation re -qualified the case against the inhabitants of Nizhnevartovsk Vladislav Borisenko and Vasily Gavrilishin, accused of arson of the military enlistment office. The Central District Military Court will consider the case under an article on a terrorist attack, and not intentional destruction or damage to property and hooliganism. This was reported by TASS with reference to the Court of Court. This is one of the first examples in Russia, when the case of arson of the military registration and enlistment office was retrained in this way.

It is clarified that cases of two defendants will be considered separately. They are accused of committing a terrorist act committed by an organized group or by prior conspiracy. The term of punishment under this article provides for up to 20 years in prison.

The message about the arson of the military registration and enlistment office in Nizhnevartovsk was received on the night of May 4. The attackers threw two bottles of incendiary mixture into the building. One bottle went out, from the second, wooden casing at the entrance to the military registration and enlistment office caught fire. The fire was quickly extinguished by the police who came to the call, the victims were not reported. At the scene, another unused Molotov cocktail was discovered. Suspects in arson were arrested in mid -May. Their names were not called then.

It is known at least about the forty such cases, criminal cases have been instituted in several regions.
• The Russian General Staff said that cases of arson of the military enlistment offices will be regarded as terrorist attacks and punished with a period of up to 15 years in prison.
• In Irkutsk, in relation to the 18-year-old activist, Ilya of the Cooked School, two criminal cases were instituted for plans to allegedly blow up the military registration and enlistment office. Cases were initiated under articles on the preparation for the attack and the organization of the attack.
