Near the village of Tutaevsky district of the Yaroslavl region, local residents discovered twenty dead moose. As reported in the All -Russian Association of Ecological activists, the animals that were in the pen were killed at point -blank to hunting tourists.
According to the local monitoring biologist Valery Kuzenkov, the chairman of the Tutaevsky branch of the Society of Hunters and Fishermen Vasily Baranov, who, according to Kuzenkov, actually authorized illegal murder, may be involved in the incident.
Baranov is currently detained. A criminal case has been instituted under the article "Illegal hunting using an official position with causing particularly major damage."
