Minister of Culture Olga Lyubimova said that many cultural figures who left Russia themselves asked to remove their names from the posters of Russian theaters. The audience demanded to remove the names of some authors from the posters.

Lyubimova noted that theaters will continue to show the productions of opposition authors, despite their views. “The repertoire that was created for 15 years should not be destroyed because the director, who received the fee ten years ago, left this country two weeks ago and wrote something there in his social networks,” Lyubimova noted.

The head of the Ministry of Culture admitted that the removal of names from the posters can be a compromise so that the theaters continue to work.

Answering the question of how the department will work with the law prohibiting the propaganda of LGBT, Lyubimova said that the ministry did not receive applications for films or staging with such a topic. “This situation is also dramatized all the time,” Lyubimova believes. The minister admitted that there were releases of films that were refused to show. This was done within the framework of Russian legislation.

The head of the Ministry of Culture also said that Russia will continue international cultural projects with the CIS countries, Latin America and Asia.

Speaking about the sanctions that the Russian government and personally Lyubimov, the minister noted that she had "neither enthusiasm nor tears of despair." According to the head of the Ministry of Culture, the Western countries, breaking contacts with Russia, rob their own spectators.
