Judge of the Verkh-Isetsky District Court of Yekaterinburg Yulia Merkulova postponed until April 14 the consideration of the criminal case of the chairman of the regional branch of the Union of Paratroopers Evgeniy Teterin. Kommersant was informed about this by the court’s press service.

Teterin is accused of three counts of mediation in bribes (Part 4 of Article 291.1 of the Criminal Code). He was sent to a pre-trial detention center in November 2021, and in June 2022 he was transferred to house arrest. Soon, the veteran of the war in Afghanistan was released on his own recognizance.

The first hearing was scheduled for December 7, but Teterin did not appear in court. The judge said that on November 10, Teterin was sent to Lugansk to head the reception office of the Ural Ombudsman Tatyana Merzlyakova.

He “returned mistakenly mobilized fathers with many children from the special operation zone, clarified Merzlyakova 66.ru. ” According to her, the military did not approve other candidates for the position because they required special forces escort.

The head of the Ural branch of the Union of Paratroopers came to today’s meeting in Yekaterinburg in person. The judge postponed the hearing due to the fact that Teterin was again “leaving on a business trip” to Lugansk from January 10 to April 10, his lawyer Dmitry Bushukhin told TASS.

Teterin is accused of receiving part of a bribe for an employee of the Federal Tax Service from the management of the Shabrovsky quarry, where environmental damage was discovered. It was about 1 million rubles, the investigation estimated the entire bribe at 4.5 million. In other episodes, Teterin, according to investigators , received 3 million rubles from two acquaintances to give to law enforcement officers for the termination of their criminal cases.

The head of the Sverdlovsk branch of the Union of Paratroopers denied guilt and said that in all cases old debts were returned to him.
