The Israeli Parliament approved the new government. Benjamin Netanyahu is Prime Minister again

The Israeli Parliament approved the new government of the country headed by Benjamin Netanyahu. It is reported by The Times of Israel.

The new government is called the most right-wing in the history of the country. He was supported by 63 out of 120 members of the Knesset, 54 opposed.

As noted by BBC News, several hundred protesters gathered outside the parliament building during the meeting, speaking out against the new government.

Speaking in the Knesset ahead of the vote, Netanyahu named his top three priorities: ending Iran's nuclear program, developing state infrastructure, and ensuring internal security.

According to Ynetnews, the new government, in particular, is going to expand Jewish settlements in the West Bank, which "will exacerbate the conflict with the Palestinians."

• Likud leader Benjamin Netanyahu has already led the Israeli government for more than 15 years (from 1996 to 1999 and from 2009 to 2021). In early November 2022, the electoral bloc led by Netanyahu won snap parliamentary elections after the previous ruling coalition collapsed. The pre-election bloc included ultra-Orthodox parties.
