Vladimir Putin signed a law clarifying the legal status of the St. George ribbon: now it refers to “symbols of military glory,” and therefore its desecration can be prosecuted (rehabilitation of Nazism). Interfax is about this.
hh. 3 and 4 of Article 354.1 of the Criminal Code writes the SOVA Center that the absence of such a law has not previously prevented law enforcement officers from initiating criminal cases under the article on the rehabilitation of Nazism for the desecration of the St. George ribbon.
